About

Stephanie McMillan is a visual artist who draws, paints, and creates objects using various media.

McMillan earned a BFA in 1987 at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She has spent many years as an award-winning and widely-published cartoonist, producing editorial cartoons, comic strips, children's books and graphic novels. Her work in comics has been exhibited in galleries, museums and shows around the country, and her papers are archived at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum at Ohio State University.

Zone 10b, which refers to the climate zone of the coastal tropics, is a collection of artwork through which she shares her love of the plants and wildlife she encounters around her home in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she is a third-generation resident.

Her charming style combines affectionate humor with the bright colors of the sunny tropics. Cards and prints from the Zone 10b collection can be found locally in Fort Lauderdale at the NSU Museum, the Riverside Hotel, and at her studio in the New River Inn History Museum.
